The original “Stonehouse” is a group of related stone buildings on the D’Aguilar Highway between Esk and Nanango which were built in the 1870/80s as part of a homestead and wayside inn complex.
An interest group called “Friends of Stonehouse” has been established which meets regularly and undertakes tasks relating to the restoration, preservation and recognition of these buildings.
